Symptoms of depression
What are the symptoms of depression, and how is it diagnosed?
Depression is a condition in which one suffers from negative attitudes over a long period of time. It is more of a serious mental illness than an occasional grief or mental anguish. A person with depression often shows symptoms of ‘Anxiety’ or over-indulgence or restlessness. Though we may feel sadness at times which could be normal for a healthy person, depression is a condition that needs medical attention. As individuals, we cannot determine by ourselves if we are in such a condition. If you have difficulty in carrying out the tasks of daily life, it is best to see a psychiatrist or a psychologist if the symptoms such as decreased enthusiasm or eating disorders persist for more than two weeks.
